red race car and coma
this is my temporary/replacement phone while Butch is in an appalling state of coma.
how do i begin to explain this?
Butch, namely my iphone is locked with Rogers Wireless when i got him from Canada. since iphones can’t be unlocked (can’t be done before when i came to the Phils), i bought a Gevey sim. it’s a sim tray that comes with a microchip so that locked phones can read a local sim here.
last Monday, i updated my itunes to iOS 5.0.1 because some of the updated apps either lag, freeze or quit with the previous iOS. during the update, the phone resets and asks me to reconfigure it step by step beginning from the language setting, location, wireless connection, sim card status, etc. i only got through to the wireless connection because the phone reads the local sim as invalid. my phone can’t finish its reconfiguration so i’m unable to use it without a Rogers sim card. my old Rogers sim card has already been deactivated since last year.
i also tried to downgrade the iOS back to the previous version
but since itunes cant detect my iphone, it makes downgrading impossible.
i’m asking my dad to send me a Rogers sim card so i can finish the reconfiguration but Kym said you can’t buy just a prepaid sim card from Rogers without getting a phone. this really sucks hairy monkey tities. i’m getting frustrated and i really miss Butch!
i never knew how much i’ve been dependent on my phone. perhaps i did but i never realized how easy my life was with that phone. i dont usually get attached to material things but when you get used to the convenience technology brings, it’s really hard not to.
aside from call and text functions, i use that phone for a lot of things like
-intranet and social networking
-alarm
-school notes
-reminders
-powerpoint viewer
-photos/videos [including my project 365]
-games [BOGGLE! OMG! I MISS BOGGLE]
-online banking
-doodling
-handy dandy dictionary, currency/unit converter, and other useful apps
-and all my fucking contacts are there! CUSS!
